MOVEMBER IS BACK (and nearly gone) and as the months nears it’s end, we go for one last push to keep the money coming in…

Those of you who have been following me will no that I’ve been involved in the Movember Charity that’s been running a campaign for the month of November.  During this time, men from all over the world grow moustaches to raise money and awareness for men’s health issues, particularly cancer related issues (prostrate cancer,  testicular cancer).

The whole month has been a crazy drive to spread the word and for the men to compare the facial hair growth and have some fun helping out to help this serious cause.

I’ve been a big fan of the MuthaFunkaz for some time now.  Their ability for uplifting production is outstanding and their latest contribution to our musical needs comes in the form of “The MuthaLode Reloaded”.

If you liked the original Muthalode, released last year, then you’ll love this album equally if not more.

From time-to-time I like to drop little musical suggestions here on the blog.  This time I’m going to bang on a little about The Muthafunkaz.  Known around the world for their fusion of jazz, gospel, funk, soul & house music, The MuthaFunkaz have constantly been pioneering their sound and of course responsible alongside Ron Hall for the seminal soul classic The Way You Love Me, which rightly went on to become one of the biggest tracks of its time.

Deep soulful house dates – London, October 2011

Hello fellow deep soulful house heads,

The time is approaching and I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO looking forward to my visit to London next week (can ya tell I’m excited???).

Looking forward to seeing family, friends (old and new) and so relishing the thought of playing to a good old fashioned LONDON CROWD.  All the more feeling lucky and blessed that I’ve been placed on lineups with some big players in the deep soulful house music industry.

Weekend diary of a DJ - A “Sleepless Elite” weekend out!

I’ve been dubbed by a very good friend of mine as “The Sleepless Elite” mainly because of my lack of ability to sleep at weekends  This weekend is lining up to be yet another epic time full of deep soulful house music for my Sleepless Elite identity….

Living and being a DJ here on the south coast of Spain has given me some great opportunities and this weekend is certainly one of those times….
