In this week’s session of The Gospel According to Tito, I open up with a question that echoes far beyond the music — “Can The Children Play Without Any Fear” from Uncle-R. It’s a deep, emotive start that reminds us of house music’s spiritual core: hope, safety, and soul. Uncle-R’s productions always find that delicate blend between introspection and rhythm, guiding us smoothly into the flow of the set.
We move into Green Template from Key Handler and Brown Stereo, where textured synths and organic percussion meet in conversation. These two South African producers are shaping a sound that honors both the roots of soulful house and the pulse of the new generation. Their sonic palette brings warmth to the airwaves. The track itself was an instrumental and I loved this track a lot so decided to drop an accapella on top just to try out a new direction with it (as I like to do). Hope you like it.
Then comes Love — a collaboration between Miguel Scott and the unmistakable Robert Owens. Robert’s voice has been a guiding light for decades, one of those rare artists who can turn a simple refrain into a gospel sermon for the dancefloor. This track captures the vulnerability and empowerment that soulful house thrives on.
Ethiopian Chyld’s Hopeful follows, gliding on subtle, healing energy. There’s something beautifully restorative about the way he layers melodies — a reminder that every Sunday session is also a moment of collective renewal.
Later on, You Can Win unites Poizen, Kabza De Small, and Earful Soul in a powerful statement of collaboration. It’s amapiano meeting deep house with purpose — a sound born in community, built on resilience. This one caught me off guard during the show. A remix / rework of / sample taken from a track very very dear to mny heart. Literally brought out a tear during my show. Anyways…
Closing out strong, Paris Cesvette and Sabrina Chyld deliver Closer. Paris continues to uphold the timeless connection between UK soulful house and its transatlantic family, and Sabrina’s vocals elevate it all to something spiritual. Big shout to Paris and Sabrina from What The House and the Marbella crew!!! Also, I didn’t realise Mr V was on the track til I heard his voice. Legend!
